Biography:

Nilanjan Bag is working as an Assistant Professor in the Department of Mathematics, Thapar Institute of Engineering & Technology (TIET), Patiala since July, 2024. He completed his Ph.D. from Indian Institute of Technology Guwahati in 2020. Then he joined Harish-Chandra Research Institute as Postdoctoral Fellow (2021-2022). Afterwards he joined Ramakrishna Mission Vivekananda Educational and Research Institute, Belur Math as NBHM postdoctoral fellow (2022-2024). His research interest is topics in analytic number theory, in particular currently he is working on exponential and character sums, L-functions, function fields and sieve methods and other topics.
